Rattling Midnight: A Journey Through Worlds
A downloadable book
Howdy y’all!
This collection is different. It was never meant to be!
As I work on these short story collections, I put stories into the documents as I go. Helps keep me organized, motivates me to pursue the piece more diligently, and provides excellent backup coverage in case the worst happens. Thought I’d gotten every single word.
Was my biggest mistake. Thinking.
29. 29 individual pieces hadn’t been properly transcribed into a collection of any kind-nor published on other websites. Couldn’t have that rolling around.
Somehow, though, it feels fitting Rattling Midnight was created because of a (thirty-five or more) mistake(s). The whole damn book is riddled with them! Especially those stories before 2020. Fiction class writing assignments, scribbles pulled off personal diaries, hell…we’re even pulling things from before my college era!
It’s cringe. This collection is full of cringe and the worst mistakes a writer can make. You’ll see endless paragraphs, sentences filled with words I barely knew, descriptions slathered in enough air-choking life they turn purple.
I’m gonna publish everything anyway.
Because as much as I’m embarrassed to see my writing look this way, I believe the potential inside the stories, and my reasons for this journey between worlds, outweighs every misplaced comma you can notate. Then I had another idea. A devilishly complex, yet simple idea. Let’s take the books that aren’t novels I’ve already published and shove them all into this one. Don’t confuse people with seven names for things!
That’s why I took what used to be Simple Stories and Holler Harolds and made them one single entity.
So, after all this rambling, what kinda stories can you expect to see? Well…
Contained within are stories detailing:
Dreams, failures, updates, and faith. Bumblebee heroes, ships and statues in love, forays into sexual escapades, and wise blunders from above.
What do you have to lose for trying it out a while, your soul!?
Disclaimer: Author cannot steal your soul. She tried and ended up in witch prison.
Thank you so much for purchasing, it's truly appreciated.
